11/10/2011 Want to avoid Trickle Vents?
Would you like to know a way to avoid having trickle vents fitted in your new build?
As well as not being the nicest things to look at, they only actually provide you with a small amount of ventilation! People, including myself, don't even use them properly and have them shut most of the time, to me they are just there allowing extra noise in from the street! The good news is you don't need to have them to comply with the latest Building Regulations!
The alternatives are Positive Input Ventilation or a Heat Recovery Ventilation System. By fitting a Heat Recovery Ventilation System, you won't need noisy extractors fans which you will with the Positive Input System. I personally find extractor fans very annoying!
Visit Michael Hodgekinson's website for more info on Building Regulations and how to make them work for you!
04/10/2011 Exhibition Season
The exhibition season is starting up again soon! We are exhibiting at 3 more shows this years, after a 4 month break over the summer! We love these shows as they're a great way to speak to people directly about our products and how they work. The first of our 3 shows is The Big Green Home Show, Buildstore, 28th-30th October, the second is The Homebuilding and Renovating Show, Harrogate, 4th-6th November and the last one of the year is The Homebuilding and Renovating Show, Somerset, 19th- 20th November. Heat Recovery is our main focus, but we also supply other ventilation systems, ground to air heat exchangers and central vacuum systems. In fact we have a permanent stand of the Ground to Air Heat Exchanger at Buildstore.
For more information about these shows go to our News and Events page.
27/09/2011 MVHR - How it creates a healthier living environment
Wouldn't we all like to create a healthier living environment for our family?
Did you know that we spend 75% of our lives indoor! It's a lot isn't it! Did you know that a typical family of four produces as much as 18 litres of moisture per day from cooking, breathing and washing. Moisture in the day can lead to condensation and mould growth. House dust mites also flourish in damp conditions, which can lead to asthma and other health issues.
A Heat Recovery Ventilation System helps to create a healthier environment for you and your family. It works by removing the polluted and moisture rich air found indoors and replaces it with fresh air taken from outside, resulting in fewer dust mites! That sounds easy enough doesn't it? All you need to do is contact us and we'll do the rest.
